Cary Shields > You

Seriously, am I the only one who thinks Cary Shields is the shizzle for rizzle?

He's like the male version of Idina for me. That's right, you heard me!

I'll take that. I'm not going to lie, I'm not picky.

re: Cary Shields > You

Oh good. One more thing: his "I See Through You" on the Taboo CD is amazing. I could listen to that song all day.

re: Cary Shields > You

I've never heard that. Which is odd considering I started a thread about the man. Don't judge me. We all know I love him simply for RENT. I'm not going to beat around the bush anymore.

I should check that out though

re: Cary Shields > You

He's on the Broadway cast recording. Seriously, go buy a copy. It's worth its weight in gold just to hear that score.

Cary just might get me back to Rent. I've been thinking about it, but I'm really not in the mood for Drew. Will Cary still be in it after Drew leaves and do we know who's going in after Drew?

Yes, and Matt Caplan, maybe.

re: Cary Shields > You

I don't know much about Matt. The thought of venturing over to one of the Rent threads boggles my brain. Is there a concensus on Matt in Rent?

re: Cary Shields > You

I think the general consensus is a positive one, but I was disappointed.

Here's what I said about him after a show in mid-October when he was on for Drew:
Matt - I went into this really wanting to like Matt, and I did, don't get me wrong. I do think I liked Chad better, though. Matt has a great voice, I think, but he seemed almost too dorky and goofy. His comedic antics often seemed to get in the way of Mark's emotions, and made it kind of difficult to have any sympathy for the character. One thing that I enjoyed a lot about Matt was that I could sense a very strong connection between he and Jeremy. I think that's really important.

Ooh, Emcee, that's EXACTLY how I feel about Matt.

re: Cary Shields > You

Hmmm. When I saw it last, Trey Eliot (sp) was Mark and I LOVED him. I would love to see him and Cary. I'll have to start paying attention to when it gets closer to Drew's departure.

Thanks!

I want to see Cary so badly that I think I may just have to stomach a Drew performance.

I saw Trey way back in the day. Not my favorite but good times. I LOVE me some Neil Patrik Harris...if him and Cary did the show, I would die. Seriously.
