As for the public, an unscientific poll on the Tribune's Web site found that two-thirds of voters thought the incident was the cat's fault.
Repeated attempts to seek comment from cats were unsuccessful.

Posted: 4/23/09 at 7:09pmRight, blame the cat. How about we blame all the feral cats in the world for being afraid of people too? If it weren't for people dumping animals out in the woods, this would not be as big a problem as it is. And yes, I deal with feral cats all the time.

Right, let's kill them and eat them like other cultures do - our impoverished can use the cheap meat and the mittens and jackets that can be made from their fur.
