Cats Auditions

Hi. I belong to a theater group and we are doing the musical Cats. The thing is, alot of the kids who audition for this are really talented, as am I, but my point is I am going to need to pick the right part for me to audition for so I can get a good role. I am a girl, I have a good range, and I am ok at dancing. I am right in the middle of the age range, which is a pretty good thing. If anyone has any ideas for what parts I should look in to, tell me. I haven't seen Cats yet, but I will rent it soon. So, anyways, give me ideas, thanks!

if you're not a dancer, i'd go for grizelda ("memory")---unless no one can dance, then I'd just give them your best song. and let them worry about where to put you.

Cats is the dancer who sings musical. its odd to see non-dancers auditioning. except, as Wilditup said, they're going for Grizabella. thats what i would do. bombalurina (sp) is a good part which usually doesn't have hardcore dancing.
