Wicked would work in The Ford Center
Leave Avenue Q where it is
as for the rest.. I dunno.. the Palace is one of my favorite houses.. as is The Winter Garden.
I have personally felt that Mamma Mia! (Winter Garden) and Hairspray (Neil Simon) should switch houses....

In teh now defunct thread about 42nd Street closing, I commented that I felt WICKED would have been perfectly housed in the Ford Center instead. Eandan started this thread saying what shows she felt shoudl be in which houses...a point?? I dunno...
Soooo? That means every show should switch theaters, just because one of them may be closing? Ummm, ok
I have a better idea....how about actors switching shows?
Harvey as Leigh Bowery in Taboo
Bernadette Peters as Donna in Mamma Mia
Sutton Foster as Gypsy Rose Lee/Louise in Gypsy
Kristin Chenoweth as Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie or as Dainty June in Gypsy
Hugh Jackman as Seymore in Little Shop of Horrors
Delta Burke as Mama Rose in Gypsy
broadwayguy2- Why should Mamma Mia! and Hairspray swap houses?

I am not sure.. I have just seen both of the shows and I just get teh feeling that they would play well in opposite theatres... a hunch I guess you coudl say.. **shrugs**
I saw Chicago in previews at the Richard Rodgers, but never saw it at the Schubert. Any seat other than the first 10 rows in the orchestra have a restricted view cutting off the front half or the top half of the stage. Awful place. Also sad when Les Mis moved to the Imperial. I was in the Mezz and the seats were at a sideways tilt. The dust and mold in that place were horrible.

Theaterbaby, I'm not sure if your post was tongue-in-cheek, but there are one or two of your suggetions that aren't half bad.
Well it was sort of half serious/half toungue-in-cheek.
I had a discussion a while back with a friend of mine while we were getting tickets for a show. I thought, wouldn't it be neat if (as a charity fund-raiser thing) all of the leads on Broadway switched shows for a night, or even a week. I think it would be really great, but so far-fetched. When on earth would they have time to rehearse?!

I do think Sutton could potentially do a knockout job with Louise/Gypsy, and, tho she's a bit long in the tooth now, Kristin would have been a hysterical Dainty June (also, didn't she do way back in the day? or wasn't she approached to do it or something?). And I have no idea about her singing, but I just bet that Delta could do a very interesting job with Rose...
Ya never know. Delta could always take over the role after Bernadette leaves if she makes a big enough impression in Millie.

An interesting view of human psychology.
eandan's original post which was not explained and appears totally pointless has elicited a dozen responses, not incluidng my own. (why am I even bothering?)
Many of eandan's postings appear to be either pointless or repetitive or list makers.
Interesting.
