Ok, so my mom gave me the ok to go to London over the summer, as long as I find cheap hotels.
So I've been looking, and I'm just so confused.
So does anyone know of good, cheap hotels?
thanks much!

Sally,
Check out the Sheraton Parc lane hotel. try to find a deal in one of the local London web sites. And remeber; they quote you the price in pounds not dolllars.

I know several.
What do you consider cheap?
Are there certain luxuries that you can't do without?

Posted: 3/1/05 at 7:37pmWhen I went with some classmates this past spring, I stayed at the Kensington Close. Not sure of the price, because it was all included in the total cost of the trip, but the room was adorable, very comfortable beds, nice bathroom...and a great pool/spa area. If you can afford it, however much it is, I would highly recommend it.

Travel Inn County Hall http://www.travelinn.co.uk
Strand Palace http://www.strandpalacehotel.co.uk/
excellent location - Covent Garden is directly behind the hotel, tiny rooms, I like it because it has 800 rooms so when I get there, they have a room ready

several locations

Coincidentally, I'll be in London at the end of next month. I wouldn't say that money isn't an issue, but I can't stay at the Ritz. We're looking for a decent 3-star hotel in a good location. Private amenities, readily accessible to the Tube and within walking distance to the main sites. (i.e. Trafalgar Square, Oxford, Harrods?---I'm not familiar with London at all so I don't know if this is even feasible.)
Which ones would you recommend?

Is the Tube that reliable? Is it like the NY Metro system? I found that really reliable in terms of route design.
I like that Strand Palace.

Well, um, whatever floats your boat.
I don't want to stay in any hostels - I'm looking 3-star/4-star hotel. Any suggestions? What's a decent rate to pay for a good London hotel (ideally included breakfast)?
