Joey Heatherton sings and dances Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh's "I've Got Your Number," from a 1965 television special, choreographed by Michael Bennett

40 years later, the same song sung by Cheyenne Jackson at Broadway Under the Stars

Heatherton delivered utterly pedestrian choreography, as if it were worthy of her efforts. Jackson's performance was just plain creepy. Good vocal, though.

Cheyenne Jackson can definitely have my number.
Cheyenne Jackson can have whatever he wants from me. Sorry but he just needs to stand there and I'm a little wet.
In all seriousness though, his delivery of the song was pretty fantastic. He didn't just sing the song, he performed it, it was great.
I looooved the first clip with Joey Heatherton (whom I have never heard of before, but I'm a fan of now). The Bennett choreography is so great, you can see his Jerome Robbins' influences and during a few points it reminds me of Fosse's choreography for LIZA WITH A Z (which of course was 7-8 years after that clip), at its greatest it is quite reminiscent of "Turkey Lurkey Time" and I love it! And Heatherton, those kicks at the end! No words. Simply spectacular. Thanks for the late night treat, PJ
Not an expert on choreography here but the 1965 version reminds me of Rich Man's Frug, which also came later.
And Cheyenne Jackson's version adds up to a hell of a lot more than the sum of its parts (no pun intended).
JohnBoy--you are so predictable. We get it: Anything after 1967 stinks.
I love watching this early Michael Bennett choreography.
What I love about Cheyenne is that he goes out there with the concept. I wish he had an imaginative Michael Bennett-type to stage things for him.

No one speaks of Joey Heatherton anymore and that saddens me.
I so wanted the Joey Heatherton shag when I was a kid.
I prefer Lola Heatherton
Actually, it's most things after 1970 stink. SEESAW and RAGTIME, excepted!

Was that really Cheyenne Jackson? It seemed like the Shadows were off.
