Two months ago, Lisa Stebic disappeared from her suburban Chicago home. She & her husband were going through a rough divorce and even close friends speculated that her husband, Craig might have killed her. It was a big story on local news and even now, two months later, there is the occasional story about a search of a nearby vacant lot, or Craig Stebic being questioned again, all dutifully reported by reporters standing outside his suburban home. But one reporter did more than stand outside....
10 Year local NBC affiliate reporter Amy Jacobsen turned up on a video tape shot by another local station in his back yard...poolside...in a bikini. There was about 24 hours of fum-fumming by the station manager and now NBC & Jacobsen have "parted ways" despite her perfectly logical explanation of why she was cavorting with a murder suspect she'd been assigned to cover: She says she was taking her kids to the pool when the suspect's sister told her to come right over. Not wanting to miss a scoop by changing, she headed right over...with her kids...in a bikini.
After you read the story you can watch the video showing her and her kids partying poolside by clicking on the "Home" tab in the upper left corner.
Oh yeah- the best quote I heard was Jacobson's boss quoted as saying "When I saw the video I told her not to come in to work for a while...and hire a lawyer."
