I was just listening to Accubroadway, and Cinderella with Brandy came on (I did not even know there was a cast recording of this) What do you guys think of this version?

It's kinda trashy, but I love Bernadette. The two sisters annoy the crap out of me though... and Prince Charming isn't very good looking.

I loved Bernadette in it...

Don't really remember much else about it, though. I have it on tape, I should watch it again.

It's just trashy. I don't agree with colorblind casting, unless you can get away with it. Here, you can't. I was just too disney-fied to me.

you are not supposed to question the fact that the king is white, the queen is african american and the prince is filipino.

i think the importance is played on all of them being human beings and it goes beyond race...

I liked it. I really did. And I'm all for colorblind casting, or else I'd probably be out of a theatrical job. I just found it odd, was all.

i thought it was groundbreaking in that sense.
the production isn't as bad as people want to make it out to be.

I happen to like it. The color blinding casting is not an issue to me. I love Mrs. Peters in this, as well as Mrs. Cox. I also do not think Brandy did that bad... I liked it!

I don't see the problem with color-blind casting in this...it's "Cinderella" for god's sake. Do you need realism in "Cinderella?"

I love this movie... and I LOVE the color blind casting. Especially for a story like "Cinderella" ... it's just so refreshing.

And Bernadette is fabulous as always.

I don't get how it's trashy?
