"Joss Whedon has signed an exclusive deal with Marvel Studios for film and television through the end of June 2015. As part of that deal, Whedon will write and direct "Marvel’s The Avengers 2" as well as help develop a new live-action series for Marvel Television at ABC."

Posted: 8/9/12 at 2:14amI am just wondering if the announcement of Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation means they could make an appearance in Avengers 2. I mean, Thanos is definitely in.

Posted: 8/9/12 at 2:32amI think Whedon basically has control over Firefly, so if he could get the funding, something more could be done with it, but since Serenity lost money, I can't see it happening soon. I don't think it would fit in with the Marvel universerse though...

Man--if Joss had a nickel for every time I watched an episode of 'Firefly'.
Hmmm...I guess he probably DOES have a nickel for every time I watched--and it wasn't enough. Ugh--why are people so blind??

Posted: 8/9/12 at 3:40amStrummergirl, I am SURE that Guardians of the Galaxy is going to end up tied into Avengers 2. Marvel is doing too good a job of meshing their movieverse together for it not to.
