Sometimes I get information in the mail about a class action lawsuit of a credit card or a company that I have done business with. The latest example is one against Classmates.com. I usually don't join because it looks like the outcome will only be a couple of dollars. Has anyone ever joined any of these class actions lawsuits? Do they really pay out?

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I'm curious about this, too. I just received one last month about BANK OF AMERICA.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

If you read the info - usually you don't have to JOIN the class action - you only respond if you want to opt out of it.

And I usually ignore them. But there was one awhile back from an internet hosting service I use which had a class action against it for exceeding downtimes during a server transition. My actual websites were not really affected that much - but the company lost and I wound up with a check for about $60 randomly one day.

I was involved in one against Panasonic for a prosumer digicam I purchased. Never heard anything from it. Guess Panasonic won.
