From The Daily Mail:
"He's the epitome of firm-jawed ruggedness, an actor as renowned for his smouldering looks as his tough-guy roles. So Clive Owen's latest challenge will come as a huge surprise to his growing army of women admirers...he is the new 'face' of a skincare range produced by cosmetics giant Lancome. The British actor will receive £2.5million for promoting Lancome Homme - which will boast products such as plankton-infused wrinkle cream, 'invigorating' cleansing gel and smooth face scrub. He has always played down his rugged looks, saying in a recent interview: "I have never considered myself a pretty boy."
I'm so looking forward to seeing these ads!! Y A Y.

I still think he should have been James Bond.
And I do love your avatar.
Yes, he should've been James Bond. Maybe next time.
I was under the impression he was the one that didn't want to be James Bond, not that the producers didn't want him.
Thank you kindly if you meant my avatar. :) It's one of my favorite pictures of him.
Anyway, Clive was offered the role before Daniel Craig was, but he turned it down. There had been rumours going on for the past 3 years that he was going to be the next Bond, and even then he mentioned numerous times that he was not interested and that the rumours exasperated him to no end.
I'm SO glad that he turned it down.

Yes, I had heard that he turned it down. I still think he would have been perfect, though.
Daniel Craig was very good, though.

Interesting!
To me, the face of Lancome will always be Isabella Rossellini.

Nice idea. He's gorgeous.
I heard the same thing, Revolutionary. He would have been great, but now I have a huge crush on Daniel Craig. It's all good.

Same here, JAG. Daniel was HOT.

From the ad campaign for 'Hypnose Homme' which is a cologne, apparantly. I'd buy it if that pic was on the bottle, lol.
Way to give me a conniption, Revolutionary! Oi vey!
I know. I had a change-my-underwear-moment when I first saw it.

Would they have given him this gig pre-mega-dermabrasion?
For some of us, dermabrasion is just good grooming.
Some have to shave facial hair; others have to shave their facial epidermis.
Four words: Watch CLOSE MY EYES. And thank me later.
I don't find him attractive. I just don't.
I find PalJoey's comments (if I'm understanding them correctly) to be effective and accurate to describe my feelings on his appearance.
BUT...with the proper attire...and low lighting...and just enough alcohol mixed with frustrated desperation, I'd do him!
He is very handsome, but does have dermatological issues that would keep me from buying any skin care products.
