Clove gum is my favorite.
It's only made every few years.
It's back!
Clove Gum
Am I the only one who mixed up the letters C and G in the beginning of the words?

Hmmm...
Sounds like reading glasses for both of you.
You can pick them up at any drugstore, the big street fairs, and even on Canal Street in Chinatown.
Lights, camera...
Focus!
YAY for Clove gum!!!!
(pervs)
Had the word "chewing" been inserted in the title of this thread, all confusion and dyslexia may have been easily avoided!!

Who actually calls it chewing gum anymore?
Whatevs......I don't think I've ever seen clove gum. I remember clove cigarettes though.
Jinx, Stockard. I was just going to mention clove cigarettes. Those things were NASTY.
LOL! I know!
They remind me of our school ski trip when I was in 11th grade.

I saw a Chicago production of "Hedwig" last month. Afterward I exited the theater into a group of fellow patrons smoking cloves. It was so appropriate I wondered if the director had asked the crew to go smoke there after every performance. IT took me back.
ugh, sweetly sick smokes.

Is this the same company that made "Teaberry" and "Black Jack" (licorice flavored)gums?
Anyone remember the Teaberry Shuffle?
Just the association with Clove cigarettes is enough to make me sick.

Clove, Black Jack, Beaman's, Teaberry, they're all here.
For some reason the Teaberry is way cheaper; perhaps it is always available.
Silly commercials where someone would burst into dance, Jon...the "Teaberry shuffle."

My clove gum will probably arrive Monday.
I bought four cases, 80 packs total. I wish they would just keep it in stock in stores.
I will likely give some away to friends for treats.
Nom, I have always considered you such a dear friend.
Does anyone remember Brights cigarettes? They were minty fresh and your lips tasted minty after smoking one.
Nom, you have whetted my curiousity.

It came!
First sensation, a slight anesthetic on the tongue, with tingles. Then the pungent clove flavor.
Clove oil has been used as an anesthetic for tooth problems for thousands of years. Even the ancient Egyptians knew it and used it. It is antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-fungal and analgesic, and it can be used to disinfect surfaces but it is strong.
I bought some clove oil a couple years ago and decided to wipe down my Dansk wooden cutting board with it for a nice scent . Mistake! The oil is so strong it smelled to high heaven so I had to wash the board several times to remove enough that the scent was tolerable and not overwhelming. Who knew?

Teaberry, Blackjack, Beamans and Clove can be found in many malls at that candy store I can never remember the name of....at least here in CA...all of tthe time

Teaberry, yes, Elphaba.
But check again on Clove, because they literally do not make it but every few years and the last time they were scheduled to make it they didn't, I was trying to get some online and found that out back then.
It comes out now and then like a limited edition. Perhaps your store manages to stockpile some but gum doesn't stay fresh past a couple years. Ask them when you get a chance because if they somehow keep some in stock I'd like to know.
that could be it nom, as they've had it when I've been there (which isn't often).....next time I am near a store, I'll check....
