Colleges with Costume Design Programs

The Indiana University School of Music offers an A.S. in Costume Construction Technology jointly with a B.S. in Apparel Merchandising and Fashion Design. Under all the long titles, it's a fantastic program where you get great hands-on experience costuming the ballets and operas, you get to try your hand at managing a costuming shop, and when you get done with your Construction A.S. you do INTENSE design work through the fashion department, where you learn to design absolutely anything and everything. At Boston University you can get a BFA in either Costume Design or Costume Production, and it's in the Theatre Dept. Great program!! I'm entering next year as a freshman (not in the costume dept though), so I can't say too much yet, but definately look into it. The theatre there is awesome.
