I loved the show, but feel they should leave it well enough alone.

As much as I loved this show, and believe me - I nearly had a nervous breakdown when it ended... I'm not sure this is a good idea. It makes me nervous.

Yeah, as much as I love it, I'm inclined to agree. Joey was such a travesty that I couldn't bear to look after about two episodes. I was afraid it would cheapen the memory of the original series.

Bad, bad idea. Leave good enough alone. And if the last few seasons were any hint, good was already gone by the end.

I thought seasons nine and ten were atrocious when they originally aired, but when I revisited them on dvd (I wasn't going to let their atrociousness prevent me from completing my dvd collection), I found they were actually pretty good. Not nearly as good as the show's zenith, which to me was the third through the sixth seasons, but not nearly as bad as most of the crap on tv.

Ugh, I don't think there was ever a "return to" episode of a sitcom that was very good. They could surprise me, though. I just have a hard time believing that they could get everyone to agree to it. I mean, David Schwimmer was probably chomping at the bit to do it, but the others? I don't know.

I watched Friends fairly regularly. The show has exhausted itself. The last season was poorly written. There's really not too many more situations that the Friends can be put into. The whole point of the show was that they were fun loving singles in NYC. Married people with children in NYC just doesn't play as well.

Maybe my friends love is clouding my judgment, but I'm all for this.

I'd be so happy!! But... I can't imagine they would be very good, since the last season was... well, a wreck.

If it can be well done, then I say go for it. But I wouldn't be able to stand seeing it done poorly.

Ah, hell, I was about to say the same thing, bway. I was about to totally come clean and admit that I was bouncing off the walls thinking it might be true. I gave ten years of my life to that show, and I don't think I'll ever love a tv show like I loved that one.
I changed the thread title, too.

The final episode just wrapped things up so nicely.. gave me some closure. They can't open it all back up again and then take it away. They can't do that to me!!

Maybe they'll bring back Janice. I always thought she deserved her own show.

Janice was my favorite recurring guest. She was always hysterical.

Kringas, only one other television program could come back in any form and cause me more excitement and the lead of that series has declared she'd never do it. After all, films like Scooby Doo 3 have GOT to be made for public consumption.
You are welcome to come visit NYC and we'll sit up and giggle like schoolgirls everytime Ross overemphasizes his diction, when Monica says, "I know!", and when Chandler says something that starts with, "could I BE..."

Not ashamed in the least to admit that I would love a comeback, even if it is a little soon. I'll admit that it started to go downhill, but my loyalty never faltered, and if this happens you can bet your ass that mine'll be parked in front of the TV...
And Kringas, I love the new thread title...

Thats like trying to bring back Home Improvement....which might not be bad because I miss Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and Tim Allen has only been doing Christmas movies for the past 5 years...
But still, I loved Friends but it should still remain on the done for good list.

Hmm, see I loved the ninth season and thought it was the strongest it had been in a long time (the finale of season 8 is pretty effing funny too though). As for their final season, with the exception of Christina Applegate's hysterical episode, I thought it was crap crappity crap.
So I think they should leave well enough alone. The show is in constant reruns all over everywhere. Joey is still (?) on the air. Let it go, already.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

The only episodes I can't watch are those in which Bruce Willis was a guest star.

I'll admit I still cringe any time it's a Marcel episode, but as I've always said, "Even a bad episdoe of Friends is better than no episode at all."
That's a little Kringasism for all of you.
