Seems to be slipping by unnoticed this year. A search only yielded a couple of events advertised at colleges - certainly no mention in the liberal mainstream press.
Sad to me, as I still think this is a key element to the struggle.
OutFest in Philly is the world's largest coming out event. It was held on Sunday. It's been happening for 21 years and 40,000 people attend the street fair and yet, no press coverage in the Philly papers this year. Observationally, there are A LOT of baby gays -- I felt ancient.

I don't suppose they were off covering the occupations, either . . .
Actually they did cover the occupyers (about 100) and Farrahkan, addressing 15,000 Nation of Islam members at the convention center. But, 40,000 mo's, not a peep.
Maybe this shows how far we've come as a country. It's no longer a big, bad thing to come out of the closet.

I wish Lawrence King were still around to agree with that statement.
Perhaps Glee needs to add the storyline to their season so the media will pay attention.
