Computer Speaker Question

Lately, my computer's been having some odd speaker problems. Whenever I play a DVD, the sound comes out all choppy and it's hard to understand what's being said. However, when I play a CD, or watch a video on the internet, the sound is fine?

Is there anything I can do to fix this, or should I call tech service?

re: Computer Speaker Question

Are you by any change using Windows XP Media Center to play the DVD? If so, I had the same problem you describe. HP suggested I use the DVD player that can be found at the start menu instead. I'm not on my home computer so I don't know what it's called but I found it rather quickly. Media Center sux.

re: Computer Speaker Question

Yes, I do use Media Center.

Is the DVD player PowerDVD?
