Well, I guess she'll no longer be a candidate for the CABARET revival but I'm quite happy for her. Along with Kate Winslet, she is my favorite film actress of her generation. Hope that after her pregnancy she can honor us once again with her presence on the Broadway stage.
Toni Collette had been leaning toward motherhood roles, and now she thinks she knows why: The Oscar-nominated actress confirmed Monday that she's pregnant.
It will be the first child for the 34-year-old Australian actress and her musician husband, Dave Galafassi.
"We're very happy. We are completely over the moon," she said.

I think I've been working too much lately - I completely confused Toni Collette and Toni Morrison in my mind when I read this post.
Yeah, even the part where she'd have to turn down the Cabaret revival didn't register right away.
Although, I wonder how Toni Morrison would do in Cabaret? Hmmm...

Chicolini, you just made me laugh so hard. I can't imagine Ms.Morrison as Sally Bowles in CABARET though I would certainly pay to see her if she ever wanted to!
I'm very glad for Toni Collette though even if my selfish side wishes she just kept on working in stage and film instead of fulfilling her dreams of motherhood.

I'm so happy for her!! She is definitely one of my favorite actresses - have loved her since 1994's MURIEL'S WEDDING (one of my all-time favorite movies).
Now she can have play-dates with Rachel Griffiths' kids.
