Conrad Birdie - Please help
#0Conrad Birdie - Please help
Posted: 3/9/04 at 11:26amI've been offered to play the role of Conrad Birdie in "Bye Bye Birdie", but I do not know if I should take it or not. It's being put up really soon (mid-April)- and the actor they originally planned to do the role apparently ended up not being as good as they wanted. Keep in mind, in late May, I'm doing "Wizard of Oz" as the Cowardly Lion. I do not want rehearsals with "Birdie" to interfer with "Oz" but then again, I think I may really want to do this part. Can anyone help me out and tell me more about the part of Conrad Birdie and maybe give me some advice on my situation?

DO IT!
It's not a huge role and it would be fun as hell!
The music is easy to learn and the script would be a snap yet you have a number of moments to shine!
DO IT!

Seany! This is great news indeed! Perhaps your version of Birdie will transfer to Encores this Spring and then perhaps even to Broadway!!
This could be your big break!
TAKE IT!!

Do it. Conrad is a fun role and, as mentioned alreday, the music and the lines are easy to learn. You could learn the part in time for the show.
Mammamia, was that pic taken when you were on your way to Payless?

Posted: 3/30/04 at 12:57pmI did not accept the role of Conrad Birdie. The director of "Oz" would not allow me to do so.
