I run a diabetes education website: diabeticsurvivalkit.com. One of the features of the website is a segment called "Tova's Kitchen," in which I demonstrate how to create recipes that are appropriate for diabetics and their families and are also easy to make and delicious.
I'd love some constructive criticism re: filming, angles, pretty much anything you can think of. Thanks!

THANKS, EVERYONE!

Lose the cross fade edits immediately! Makes for sloppy sound. Or seperate the audio from the tape and edit seperately

Posted: 10/25/11 at 9:29pmThanks! How does one do that? The only video editing software I have is what came with Windows. Any recommendations for free software that will work or ways to lose the edits/sloppy sound issues with the software I already have?

Poke around in your editing software, there must be a way to change the default and lose the cross dissolves. That would help the weird audio overlaps.

Yeah, I agree. The problem is that it's picking up part of your next sentence in the overlap, which sounds weird (well, because it's a mistake). If you can't shorten the audio crossfading alone, you should shorten the entire transition until you can't hear the next sentence.
Otherwise, looks fine (based the part of the clip I reviewed)!
