Hey everyone. I have loads of musical theatre college auditions coming up in less than a month and I am stuck with monologues. I need one shakespeare (which I have already learnt and sorted)and 2 contemporary monologues which I am finding hard to get. I brought loads of monologue books and began learning some from there, but I heard audition panels get too many of those and prefer if it's from a proper play. So far I've looked at a speech from Oleanna but i'm not sure if it is too well known. Any ideas?? One comic, one serious would be nice!!

Look at anything by Christopher Durang if you want a comedy.

I just did a monologue from Sister Mary Ignatius Explains it All For You. That might be a good comic one if you're good at playing angry/slightly crazy.
