Put Appalachian Spring on right now.
You'll be glad you did.

Especially if it makes you think of Glebb

The clarinet part for "Hoedown" is a nightmare. But oh what fun~ I thoroughly enjoyed ABT's version of it last fall season at City Center.
Although at one time, I heard "Hoedown" at Kmart, I think it began to lose its luster for me.
I love performing Appalachian Spring though; it has a fun piano part.
My favorite Copland piece has got to be his clarinet concerto. What an amazing piece!

If you liked ABT - Rodeo - you should see Joffrey.
Joffrey reconstructed, under the supervision of Oliver Smith and Kermit Love, the original sets and costumes. Oh, and Agnes rehearsed it.
Must be so cool to be able to play the glorious music.
Cheers mint0621.

similar to dance, it is much more fun to perform music than to watch :)

Too bad an entire generation's only knowledge of Copland is "The Beef Song".
And Gershwin's Rahpsody in Blue is "The United Airlines Jingle".

the question is...is it better to be associated with "beef" than not known at all?
