Corkscrew Festival

I'm a playwright looking for actresses so I might submit to the Corkscrew Theatre Festival. The issue here, is I'm in a flyover state and would have to work remotely until the interview process (if we're selected for an interview).

The story: Gavriella is a struggling writer who needs Alathea for her next story. As they work together, racial, social, and even gender constructs are explored as each woman brings her experiences and tries to see through the other's lens.

Gavriella: white woman 20s-30s; Alathea: black woman 20's-30's


Please check the Corkscrew Festival site (corkscrewfestival.org) to get an idea of time commitment. Submissions are due December 8, interviews run January 3-19, workshops begin April, and the festival itself runs July 9 - August 5th.
