So what did we think of last night's episode?
Personally, I loved it. So many great leads and surprises. The next three hours are going to be amazing!
My biggest question coming out of that -- is Claire dead or alive or WHAT? She looked just so blissed out happy, not worried about Aaron at all, just happy. So strange!
What was that weird test for young John with the knife?
Who the heck is Richard Alpert and why doesn't he age? Is he time jumping?
Horace - we saw him before, right? He brought Ben's dad to the island. So is HE connected to Jacob?
Is Ben just playing victim, or is he really shaken by Alex's death? Did he believe what he said about John now being "it"?
Is Jack misinterpreting the signal from Lapidus?
How is Sayid getting people off the island in that little boat??? Umm, I don't think it would carry HURLEY, let alone four others!
*SPOILER* for those who haven't seen the episode
What about the last line? YIKES!
Claire was with her father (and Jack's father) - isn't he dead? She looked happy, but also drugged or dazed.
Locke was clearly having premonitions as a child (he was drawing the smoke monster thing). If taking the knife was a mistake, which of the other items should he have picked?
i have a serious love/hate relationship with this series.
Is Ben just playing victim, or is he really shaken by Alex's death?
The Scene with Widmore certainly made it seem like he's truly upset. Ben is NOT an evil man. He's not even a bad man. Everytthing he's doing is for a reason, and its for a reason that he thinks will benefit his people/the island. I keep worrying that they're gonna phase ben out with the recentering of Locke as "the Man" but then i remember, they've 4 times shown future Ben, off the island, still very much involved in the affairs of the island or those involved with it.
Oh and we have no reason to believe Claire is dead. All we saw was her see her father and walk off. Nothing about that indicates death. Yes, her appearence with christian last night was quite bizzare, but i believe her to still be alive. And I also believe her back story will play a MAJOR role next season. She clearly does not get off the island, but Aaron does, WITH Kate who is raising him as her own. This does not bode well for kate, as Claire was told that there is no happy for the child is it is riased by anyone but her. The Psychic put her on that plane knowing full well it would crash and that she would be stranded on that island, forcing her to raise the child. That's no longer going to happen, clearly the future of this child is more important than simply it will not have a good life if not raised by claire. The psychic took EXTRAORDINARY care to make sure that child would be raised by claire, i believe the fate of the world depends on it.
"Oh and we have no reason to believe Claire is dead"
Sure we do - remember two weeks ago when her house blew up, and the first thing she said was "Charlie"? It seems unlikely she survived that...
I think she is dead just because Miles, who can see dead people, was ooking at he very weirdly. Also the whole knife thing, remember how Locke always uses his knife, remember he used it to Kill Naomi...I think they wanted him to pick the science stuff, remember what the teacher said to him, that he is meant to be a scientist ad he feaked out. Remember Jckis the man of science nd Locke is the man of Faith...this is gonna be awesome
Violet72 - you're right! I had forgotten that diochotomy (although I think Jack may have to find faith and Locke science before we are done).
I thought Claire survived the house explosion - didn't we see her alive later that episode?
Horace is completely freaking me out.
