Creating a Theatre Lover

So I recently started dating someone. We get along great and really enjoy each other's company but don't have many shared interests so I'm on a mission to get him to at least enjoy---if not love--theatre. Now, I'm perfectly content if it doesn't happen but I want to give it a shot!

Anywho, I'm going to start taking him to the local shows (which is going to be tricky, as seeing theatre alone is tricky on my budget) but what are some good movies to help him get the bug? Musicals, films of plays, films about the theatre, etc. I've loved theatre for so long that I've never really thought about what are good intros so I'm turning to you all for help!
