Perhaps we've been through this before but how do you think the critics will react to the film adaptation? I think it will be interesting to see because it, quite technically, is a cult film.
I'm guessing it will garner respectable reviews, perhaps a Golden Globe nomination here or there, but probably won't blow the critics' minds off.

Posted: 10/19/05 at 7:05pmMleh I've never cared too much for critics and what they thought, especially if they won't care for RENT because it could be considered a cult film.
"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

Posted: 10/19/05 at 7:09pmIf the trailers accurately portray how the full-length movie is going to be, I'm predicting 2-3 stars and complaints that it's too cheesy and soft to be much more than an extended pop/rock music video and a star vehicle for Rosario.

Posted: 10/19/05 at 8:10pmI'm not going to assume the trailer is representative of the movie. It's an ad, after all, and probably has as much to do with the actual product as most ads do.
