i have been searching for a record player ever since i got back from my vacation to new york (i saw "drowsy" - LOVED IT!)

there are some available on ebay, but my fear is that they are too vintage and might not work properly.

in target today, however, i saw a crosley 3-in-1 (phonograph, CD player, cassette player) for $99 - is this a good buy?

i'd really like something quality, but $99 seems a little high to me.

anyone have experience with Crosley products?

I'd actually have the opposite concern... $99 for a 3-in-1 product seems really cheap. I'd expect to pay $100+ for just a record player (no speakers, cd player, etc.) No experience directly with Crosley though.

turntables alone can be $100. More importantly you need to make sure you can find extra needles, as without those it makes no sense.

try http://www.needledoctor.com

they sell a lot of turntables and can replace almost every needle known to man.

I've found that thinhs that claim to be "all in one" usually are not.
