Cyndi Lauper's At Last?

Posted: 1/5/07 at 10:29pmAnyone else have or listen to this CD, there's something about a rough voice singing ballad's that makes me happy. It does, however, bother me a little in "La Vie En Rose" which is a little TOO pretty for her voice. "Walk On By" and "At Last" give me chills. Does anyone own "The Body Aucustic" CD? I was tempted to buy this the other day.

And THE WORLD IS STONE.
Celine Dion can't even work it in French.

Buy "The Body Acoustic". It's a great album. The new songs are wonderful, especially "Above the Clouds" ft. Jeff Beck on guitar.
I LOVE her version of those classics on the "At last" album. Her renditions of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", "Walk on By", "If You Go Away", and "At Last" are divine. She really knows how to capture real feeling in a song.

Posted: 1/6/07 at 3:04amI've heard numerous versions of "If You Go Away", both in English and in French, and hers never fails to move me to tears. It's simply amazing. The whole cd is great, really- didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I do.
