This is a hybrid of on- and off-topic -- okay, probably more off.
Anyway, saw CINDERELLA last night on PBS. (I had seen it in the late 80s at the Museum of Broadcasting in NYC -- so it hasn't been "lost" since 1957...). Just gotta say it:
Jon Cypher was SMOKIN' HOT! I especially liked the way his...ahem...costumes fit him. Just wondering...what's the story on him? If you don't want to gossip for all to see, PM me. He's my new fascination. :)

It was lost in the sense that it hasn't been seen PUBLICLY and this was restored footage from the Rodgers and Hammerstein Library.
But bwguy, c'mon...didn't you find Cypher rather fetching?

not very. Not unattractive by any means, but didn't do it for me..

Wasn't he the boss in "big - the musical"?
As well as the police chief on Hill Street Blues, of course.
Did you know Jon Cypher was originally announced to play Ben Stone in the original cast of "Follies"? I think he had to leave because of a back injury...well, that was the story at the time...and he was replaced by John McMartin.
I know he's played Julian Marsh in "42nd St." in regional theatres....
As for his sex life...well, I'VE never had him!
