She gave it her all! And we stayed with her until the end!

She recently gave a free concert in my 'hometown' (not far from NYC) to help raise funds for the town Teen Center. Her sons are very involved with the center, and it was a huge gesture from her. The evening was incredible!

By the way - my seats on the 13th are four rows from the stage...SO excited!!

---

Yes, but I'm not seeing her in LA... I'm seeing the concert up near San Francisco... I'm sure the seats in that venue weren't being held back as I imagine they are in LA...

Tired hussy??

---

just checking...

(everythong - good one!)

This old gal is ready to call it a night - enjoy your evening!!

Here you go, Dame.
Happy Monday!

Everybody look around
?cause there's a reason to rejoice you see
Everybody come out
And let's commence to singing joyfully
Everybody look up
And feel the hope that we've been waiting for

Everybody's glad
Because our silent fear and dread is gone
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?

Everybody be glad
Because the sun is shining just for us
Everybody wake up
Into the morning into happiness

Hello world
It's like a different way of living now
And thank you world
We always knew that we'd be free somehow
In harmony
And show the world that we've got liberty

It's such a change
For us to live so independently
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?

Everybody be glad
Because the sun is shining just for us
Everybody wake up
Into the morning into happiness
Hello world
It's like a different way of living now
And thank you world
We always knew that we'd be free somehow
In harmony
And show the world that we?ve got liberty

It's such a change
For us to live so independently
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?

Hello All!

I'll share my favorite Diana Ross concert memories:

1). In the 80's, at Atlanta's old Omni, Diana dedicating and singing "Missing You" to the family of Ron McNair, local astronaut just killed in the Challenger disaster. Very sad and poignant.

2). In the 90's at Chastain Park, Diana coming out into the audience during "Reach Out and Touch ...Somebody's Hand" and circulating well back into the crowd. The audience was very respectful. You could really feel the love!

That concert started with light rain (outdoor amphitheatre) which tapered off after awhile. Diana took the audience on a musical journey which started in the early 60s with her Supremes hits and finished with her newer material.

I hope Diana will add Atlanta and some East coast dates to her new tour. Nothing on Ticketbast--d, yet.

Hi Dame!

What's shakin' with you?! All is fine here in Atlanta. It's much cooler than when you were here in July - mid 70s today. I just got back from an extended vacation in Hawaii (Kauai, Maui, Oahu) last Thursday. It was marvelous! The picture in the avatar is me swimming with a dolphin last week. It was an amazing experience.

Thanks for the scoop on the second leg of Diana's tour. I'll look forward to Diana coming to Atlanta in the Spring. She is the real deal, isn't she?!

-Jungle

You mean the dolphin's handsome face, right?! The whole month of October and early November are usually wonderful in Atlanta. Come back anytime!

Thanks, Dame.

How could they be giving away tickets when they are saying it is sold out?
