Any idea on the Disney Animation Collections? They can't just be the one film, that THREE LITTLE PIGS DVD would be pretty short, wouldn't it?

Very cool about CLEOPATRA, one of the great campfests of all time.

It's not the Liz Cleopatra Roscoe, it's the one from 1934.

It is just the one cartoon. It only costs $14.00 though.
It runs 61 minutes

Yeah, Taz, I'd figured it was the Claudette Colbert version, what with the 75th Anniversary and all. A great De Mille wackadoo campfest.

Interesting about the 3 LITTLE PIGS DVD. The film itself is nowhere near 61 minutes. I wonder what else is on the disc?

Sorry to doubt you Roscoe. I figured you probably knew, but when you said campfest I immediately thought you were referring to the Liz disaster.

Having never seen the 1934 version I didn't realize it was campy also.

Most De Mille films from that period are. Really amazing movies, just outlandish. See SIGN OF THE CROSS sometime, or CLEOPATRA. You won't believe your eyes. Some of the best bad acting ever.

Roscoe & Taz---Those Disney DVDs are just repackaged and recollected shorts.

Mikey & the Beanstalk has already been released on DVD in several incarnations, and the Three Little Pigs is on the Silly Symphonies release from Walt Disney Treasures (those 2-disc sets in the metal tins). The "pigs" short runs 8 minutes. Those new DVDs each contain other short films, but they have a "flagship" short as their title.

Misleading? Sure!

I'd like to (shamelessly) add a movie to the April 14th DVD release date...

Ready? OK!, from Wolfe Video & Daisy 3 Pictures. Starring Carrie Preston (HBO's TRUE BLOOD, and DUPLICITY), Michael Emerson (ABC's LOST), and Lurie Poston (STEP BROTHERS).
Ready? OK!

I am SO excited for The Uninvited's DVD release. I saw the film in theaters and LOVED it. At first I was skeptic, because it was, yet another remake, but I was really surprised just how good the movie is.

If you haven't seen it, I suggest at least renting it, it's definitely worth it. Plus, Elizabeth Banks is all kinds of amazing. Her acting is really good in this one.
