I deserve good things. I am entitled to my share of happiness. I refuse to beat myself up. I am an attractive person. I am fun to be with. And I'm gonna help people! Because I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and, doggonit, people like me!

Reminds me of the mantra from the film BEETLEJUICE.
"I am great. I am wonderful. Everybody likes me!"
Repeat many times while driving in a convertible. Was a good laugh in the film...when I was like 10...

I refuse to wear somebody else's red-rose tinted glasses. My awareness of my own clarity of vision encourages me to generously share my honest opinions of people's goodness, and people's total hogwash b.s., when appropriate.
It is easier for the simple-minded to decide to be one way, to see things one way ("positive" in quotes, for example), and to erode the real edges of life, and deny that sadness and badness exist in what they tend to call (with their eyes wide in faux-childlike wonder) "the universe." Because they feel to give attention to, to admit that they have or to express negative feelings, is somehow to surrender to failure. Being honest with those who matter to me encourages them to be honest with me. Honesty strengthens our relationships.
It is far more enjoyable to me to have a real, honest conversation with people than to gush phoney platitudes through fake smiles like we're all the hypnotized zombies who make up the audience of your typical episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
As I choose to be honest in thought, word, and action, I build consciousness that enables me to face reality with other honest people who are not delusional and deeply in denial or kind of stupid.

Just because I have bad thoughts does not make me a bad person. No matter how bad my thoughts are, someone else's are worse.
Bad thoughts make me appreciate the good thoughts even more.If I never had a bad thought, how would I recognize the good thoughts?

dear sueleen,
your posts give me the courage to feel my feelings, and to feel my feelings about my feelings, and my feelings about my feelings about my feelings.

Posted: 10/7/05 at 12:25pmEven if I have never won an award that does not make me talentless. Even if people who do not deserve an award win one while I am still award-less does not make me talentless. Even if I was born with no special skills, no singing voice, no acting chops, and two left feet I am not talentless. My Mother says I am good and that is good enough for me. Let's sing and dance to the best of our inability and the award will be an inner glow...That makes me a winner!

Posted: 10/10/05 at 10:12amGod gave me a butt to sit on. It is a nice if rather large butt. He gave it to me so I would feel comfortable while I wait for my ship to come in. He gave it to me so that while someone is out earning my keep I could appreciate how soft and cushy my couch is. I love my butt...it is big and beautiful and is deserving of all the love it can get.

Posted: 10/10/05 at 10:47amI'm giving your big, beautiful butt a big, beautiful hug, Sueleen. Can you feel the love long-distance? I think it can reach from here to there.

I am high above everyone else. I am enlightened in a way that the rest are not. I see Angels. This makes me better than anyone. Anyone who acknowledges that things are not perfect will never be perfect. Perfection only comes from blocking out all imperfections and seeing only the perfect.

Posted: 10/12/05 at 6:22pmMy dear Sueleen, you inspire me to be so much more than I ever thought I could be. I adore you. I bow before you as you sit upon throne forged of the souls of the unenlightened.

Posted: 10/12/05 at 11:47pmWhat the hell does that mean? Oh, forgive me...that was a mean thing to say...what I should have said was, "Why, thank you, Orion. I am sure you inspire someone, too. Who it is, I have no idea. But there must be someone." By the way, this throne is mighty comfy!
