Dan Senor resurfaces; where's the pride in Bremer?

That odd duck in Iraq, Mr. Bremer's slick public relations face man, Dan Senor ... suddenly, he's a Jr. league pundit-slash-propagandist. Articulate though he may be, I found him on the creepy side -- eerily like the Jude Law robot in the movie A.I., minus the sexual apparatus. Maybe it's the hairline in the shape of the Vivian Beaumont stage, and all of those suits in Necco wafer colors.

But how odd that the poor souls who had to do the dirty bidding in Iraq -- start with the beleagured Exec. in Chief, Mr. Bremer -- have been given so little focus and stage time at this convention. A gathering designed to celebrate the myriad successes of this president. Where, in general, is the homage paid to those who've lead or died there? Rather than build a shrine on the corpses of 9/11, where's evidence of their "supporting our troops," whom we're told repeatedly are dying for "our freedom" at this very minute? If they're so proud of Iraq, why tout 20 minutes with a bullhorn 3 years ago as the defining moment? You'd think it would be 6/30/04 -- when we supposedly passed the torch (but continued to pay in blood and treasure) in Iraq.

You'd think they'd at least drag in poor Jessica Lynch. A year ago, her MOW was the November sweeps event on TV, along with her book. Now that this poor woman's story's been discredited, along with the reasons for going to war, the focus for THIS November "sweeps" is all 9/11 all the time.

Dan Senor is heinous and it should not surprise you he's now a blabbermouth talking head who's cashed out of government for the world of infotainment. Look at his pedigree: before he joined Bremerland, "Senor also served as a Legislative Aide, Press Secretary, and Communications Director for then-Senator Spencer Abraham (R-MI)." He was a hack then and he's a hack now.
