Dancer or Singer

I am still a ways off from auditioning for any shows in NYC,but sometimes I look on playbill.com just for fun,and I always notice that they have "Open Call for Dancers" and "Open Call for Singers".Well what if you do both?Could you go to both to double your chances?Or would that just annoy the directors lol?And if you go to a singing audition,will you not be considered for a dancer part,and vice versa?Haha sorry this is long but I'm just wondering?

you should go to whatever you feel your strongest point is. Sometimes if you sing they will call you back to dance... sometimes if you dance, you will get called back to sing. I dont suggest going to both. A lot of the times, they post in audition notices that if you already attended one call, do not attend unless asked.
