Dannielynn's guardian, Richard Milstein, gets custody of Anna Nicole's remains.

Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin steered a surprise middle course in the dispute, which became more urgent by the day when the medical examiner warned that the centerfold's body was rapidly decomposing from her death two weeks ago.
Smith's estranged mother wanted her buried in her native Texas, while Smith's boyfriend wanted her laid to rest in the Bahamas.
The judge compromised and gave custody to attorney Richard Milstein, the guardian for Smith's 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn.
It wasn't immediately clear what Milstein would do, but the judge expressed his own preference: "I want her to be buried with her son in the Bahamas. I want them to be together."

It only took Richard Milstein about 45 minutes to get them to agree to have the body buried in The Bahamas.
it took Larry Seidlin three days to pass off the decision to someone else while he auditioned for a Judge Show.
I want to vomit
so she's being burried in the bahamas?
that's where i think she should be burried, with her son.
That was the aggreement they had reached but apparently her mother has now filed an appeal so who knows when that will happen.
from what i hear she wasn't even that close with her mother... why is she trying so hard to have her burried in texas?
Payback.
wow... why do people suck so much?
I think the judge is the biggest clown of the whole bunch. Disgrace to the bench
I thought that they had entered the Twilight Zone when the Judge, while on the phone with the father of Daniel, who was in Texas, asked him to raise his hand and be sworn in to give evidence, OVER THE PHONE. What a joke.
In announcing his verdict, the judge appears to be on some of the same drugs as the deceased. I've never seen anything like it. It's just all too surreal. Oh what a circus, Oh what a show...
I don't understand why the mother doesn't want her buried with her own son. No wonder Anna couldn't stand her.
He cried while reading the verdict. What a moron.
I hope he's disbarred and whatever else they do to judges. What an embarrassment.
My guess is that the mother wants ANS buried near her so that she can build a "celebrity shrine," also known as a "tourist attraction," so that she make lots of money off her dead daughter.
There was an interesting article in the NY Times recently about this battle right now within Billy Graham's family. One son wants him to be buried where his mother wants her resting place (i.e., "nowheresville") and the other son wants him buried on the property of the grand church compound where a talking cow tells visiting children about a little boy named Billy who grew up to do great things. The paid tour ends with your getting to view the tomb of Billy Graham. (Oh yeah, neither Billy Graham nor his wife are even dead yet!)
It's all about cash.
That is morbidly gross. Meanwhile, why have they not embalmed Anna's body so she will stop decomposing? That is just asdisturbing and gross as this whole circus around who gets her in the first place.
They have embalmed her already, but even with the embalming she is deteriorating at a quick pace. If something doesn't happen soon, she may not be presentable for an open casket viewing.
I agree with Miss P. about her mother's intention to build AnnaWorld if she buried her in TX, but I don't know that for sure.
They've settled the burial, but the paternity issue is the next headache. Lets hope this judge in CA doesn't have a reality show pending also!
Rath, the mother was rumored to want to move Daniel as well.
Oh yes, bury them together in Texas...two for the price of one.
"Rath, the mother was rumored to want to move Daniel as well."
Yeah, I'd like to see her try that in The Bahamas.
The graveyard scene in Young Frankenstein immediately popped into my head for some reason when I read the last few posts.
"WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (CNN) -- A Florida appeals court cleared the way Wednesday for Anna Nicole Smith to be buried next to her son, Daniel, in the Bahamas.
The decison by a panel of three judges with the 4th District Court of Appeal upheld a lower court ruling that gave custody of Anna Nicole Smith's remains to the court-appointed guardian for her daughter, Dannielynn."
Court: Bury Anna Nicole Smith in the Bahamas
Thank God someone is sane in this whole mess.
NASSAU, Bahamas -- Anna Nicole Smith will be buried in a custom-made gown next to her 20-year-old son following an "over the top" memorial service with a tightly controlled guest list, said a friend helping to organize the memorial.
The memorial service, with about 300 guests at an undisclosed church, will feature large amounts of pink flowers, her favorite color, and singing from a well-known performer whose name organizers aren't ready to disclose, said the friend, Patrik Simpson of Beverly Hills, Calif.
