Finally gets a home video release on DVD on April 19th. No details as yet, so not sure if it is the complete version or Blake's edited one.

Not my favorite Andrews movie by a mile but I do love the opening and the strip sequence.
And when does THE TAMARIND SEED get released? Not to mention DUET FOR ONE? and JULIE AND CAROL...?? The list goes on...

Oh PLEASE can we have the three Julie and Carol specials on one glorious DVD?

Yes, it would be wonderful to get "Duet For One" and "The Tamarind Seed" on Region 1 DVDs, but at least they've had video releases. "Darling Lili" has never been released on any home format. I'd also love to see "The Julie Andrews Hour" released on DVD. I never thought in a million years we'd see "Cinderella", so I suppose anything is possible.

This is good news. Not one of my favorite Julie flicks (by a long shot) but has some great moments. Thanks for the "heads up."

This year has been such a banner one for Julie, she is everywhere -- hosting documentaries, starring in a high profile movie (the billboards around Manhattan were such a welcome sight!), being interviewed about prior movies/ specials, re-releases of her films. It's truly been a "Jolly Holiday"

Anything with Julie is one of my favorite things. As a movie reviewer once wrote about her when "Mary Poppins" was released, "If she were to just stand there, doing nothing for over two hours, you'd be entertained!"

Maybe that live performance of ON GOLDEN POND with Andrews and Plummer will also make it to DVD one of these days (one of them may have to kick first, though).
She's also directing THE BOYFRIEND at Goodspeed next season. A true star and a first-class act all the way.
