David Letterman does not get enough credit for his interview skills

Yes, much of his show is hilarious, but really, when it comes to interviewing politicians and holding them accountable, is anyone better at this than Letterman?
I was reminded of this last night, when he interviewed Former Governor Blagojevich. Rather than lob softballs at him, he pressed hard, and when Blagojevich tried to deny everything, he played him the tape where he talks about selling the seat. He wouldn't let him off the hook, called him on his media blitz, and made him look like a fool.
Going back a bit further, don't forget how he handled McCain and that set of lies.
He's tough, and he's honest, and inevitably, asks the questions I find myself wondering when I listen to politicians speak. There's absolutely no comparison between he and Leno. It's not even close.
I just wish he'd get the credit he deserves for some of the serious insightful interviews he does

I agree adam, Leno doesn't even come close. Don't forget the interview with Bill O'Reilly when he said, " I have a feeling 60% of the things you say is crap!"
On a side note, this isn't a blanket statement..but almost always, I can tell if I'm gonna get along and hang out with someone by asking them one question: Leno or Letterman.

Exactly! Which is of course what I was thinking while watching the interview!

I agree, and I honestly have no idea what people see in Leno.

Dave and Rod Blagojevich. By time Dave was done I almost felt sorry for Blaggo.
