I never, ever watched this show when it aired. Honestly I had no interest.
Well all that has changed. Ever since the show has been re-airing on TBS and The N it's about the only show I watch. And it's sublime!
I saw the series finale last night for the first time...I was not pleased.

Um...it gave rise to TWoP. That's a good thing.
haha. Good point, Plum. TWoP is fantastic.
I never watched Dawson's Creek religiously, but I have to admit that I watched it with friends who were obsessed with it from time to time. I was happy with the ending; I preferred Pacey to Dawson.
My best friend was OBSESSED with this show and preferred Pacey to Dawson too. I was dissapointed. Joey and Dawson. Dawson and Joey. They are soulmates<333

haha...well to me, it had odd writing for such young characters...and several of them couldn't quite pull it off...but it did have a certain nostalgic air to it that i really enjoyed...and i although i couldn't really get over HER talking out of the side of her mouth....haha....it actually can hook you in..and yes the series finale is terribly sad. i cried for an hour...haha...jen was my favorite character.
Looved it during the first season.

yeah the first season was definitely the best...
I, too, was happy with the outcome of the finale. I was a Pacey/Joey girl. I loved when they got stuck in the store overnight. However, my favorite character was Jen. I loved her personality. I had secretly wished that I was more like her. I was shocked that they killed her off.
It was a great show until they got to college. The episode where they essentially re-made "The Breakfast Club" is one of my favorites. But I was glad Joey ended up with Pacey. I just never really thought her and Dawson had that same type of spark together.
I think the show was entertaining enough during the first couple seasons and then it sort of got bogged down with the whole Dawson and Gretchen storyline. I think things picked up a bit when they got to college.
