The movie looks interesting but for anyone is politics or anyone else to actually make decisions regarding policy based on a movie is a bit much. To all those worried re global warming, trying turning off your air conditioner when it is 100 degrees or stop driving your SUV. Ths will separate the men from the boys. Put up or shut up.

I will enjoy it as entertainment & nothing more

I worry more about the train I'm riding on exploding more than global warming.

I really have no need to see New York City destroyed, flooded, frozen, whatever. Just like I really don't need to see the video of that plane crashing into the WTC for the 500th freakin' time.

I cannot wait. Seriously cannot wait. I love disaster movies more than life itself and since I saw the teaser trailer back in November, I have just been beside myself.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

popcultureboy - you must have LOVED Titanic, the musical - now THAT was a disaster!

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

The musical version of Titanic was actually not a disaster at all. It received mostly positive reviews and won several awards and has gone on to a successful national tour and international production. A West End production is said to be in the works.

OY - not another production of that awful musical - I mean - I appreciate each person's individual tastes - but I thought it was one of the most horrible things I've ever seen on Broadway..terrible lyrics - horrible book - ridiculous effects - I'll never forget a friend telling me about a preview (I saw it months later) wherein the stage hands had to come out on stage and manually move the miniature boat across the stage - they said it was so laughable they almost walked out at that moment...

Nothing bad happened when I saw it. I thought the book was great, one of the most beautiful score (with the best chorus I've ever heard in any show) I've heard in musical theatre, and I found the staging to be quite effective and inventive. I can imagine that any performance of any musical where stagehands have to appear to move anything seems laughable, including the night it happened when I saw Kiss Me Kate (not a preview, though). Sorry you didn't like the show, but the Broadway production of Jekyll and Hyde and Thou Shalt Not would have to rank far worse than Titanic.

Mr. Matt has just named my two most hated musicals. I also really loved TITANIC when I saw it, so you're not alone.

I saw some of the movie and it's unbelievable exciting. Dennis Quaid is really good, Sela Ward is beautiful and Jake Gyllenhall takes (almost all) his SOAKING WET CLOTHES off in one scene.

After seeing Jake naked, they could destroy all of North America, for all I care, but it's only a movie.
