Since seeing the astonishing production of GYPSY at the City Center, I've gotten a bit carried away with the show; as have many people here at BWW.

I've taken to answering the phone with titles of songs from GYPSY. I mean, instead of a bland "Hello", I say "Everything's Coming Up Roses" or "Small Worrld, Isn't It?" My family and friends accept it as a part of my personality and just deal with it.

Just now the phone rang and I didn't realize it was my pastor. I answered with "Let Me Entertain You" and he responded, "Exactly how ARE you entertaining strangers and in what room of the house are you doing it?" I was lucky because I was weeding the vegetable garden when he called. It would have been musch worse if I had answered the phone in my bedroom.

I guess I'll hear about this the next time I go to confession.

Oh, why did he call? I'd loaned him my ALTAR BOYZ CD and he likes it so much he wants me to organize a parish trip to see the show.

Should we consider it a good thing that you didnt do the same thing during SWEENEY TODD? I can only imagine what your parish father would have said had you answered "Have a Little Priest".
