We've all been touched by it. We've all been affected by it. And, one day, we will be consumed by it. Is the fact that death will one day claim you frightening? Do you believe in an afterlife or would death be just like an eternal sleep?
I read something very interesting earlier which compared the two philosophies of Socrates and Epicurus on this issue:
http://cda.mrs.umn.edu/~okeefets/death-paper.html I pretty much agree with that guy. Death cannot be more than an eternal neutral zone. Pleasure and pain are within the eye of the beholder and if we all have to go through this, then how can the same thing happen for everyone? Or does the same thing happen for everyone?
