This is probably my favorite version of Carol Channing doing "Diamonds."

It's from a live 1953 television show--The Milton Berle Show--on which Carol does "Little Girl from Little Rock" and "Diamonds." The Carol you see is the closest to the Carol who first burst on the Broadway scene in 1949 in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Three years later, she appeared on Rosemary Clooney's show and sang the song again, followed by a lovely duet with Rosemary on "Everything Happens to Me."

Love it! Thanks PJ! Wish she could have sung the R-rated lyric in the reprise of "Diamonds" that I didn't even know existed until the Enores recording. I don't have the recording here, but I think Lorelei uses the phrase "sons of bitches."
