Sorry Dad2. (That works on so many levels)
Night, Crushers!
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

Posted: 4/22/07 at 7:28pmI always develop a crush during every show I'm involved. Nothing has ever developed from it, and it's non-gender specific.

Well, there's definitely a secret in my theatre, because I have a crush on a boy and no one knows about it. It's especially confusing for me because I haven't had a crush on a boy since I was in elementary school (I'm not a hermit, I'm a lesbian).
And then he had to go and hook up with one of my best friends. Boohoo, drama, lame.

Posted: 4/22/07 at 8:05pmYes, GOD yes. Probably the best/worst was when I was 13 and I liked this guy in my audition class and his audition song was "Some Girls." To get him in the mood the music director had two girls go up to the front of the room while he sang and my crush would pick on of us to be Ti Moune and the other to be the rich fiance. And he picked ME to be Ti Moune and I died the whole time he sang to me. Gaahh, I am melting even remembering it.

I never thought about it THAT way...but yes. lol. There's always a lot of drama bacstage at my shows. I have no idea why, but I can tell you one thing...it drove me to start smoking. lol.

I actually quit in about a week ago. I didn't do it for long. It wasn't hard for me to get off of it either. lol.
But thanks for your concern.
justagirl, if I'm not mistaking, you said in another thread that you had a crush on a 13 or 14 year old in one show you did, right?
lol.

jag, I had a wicked crush on my Emcee too! But since we're both gay, and he was partnered with the director, nothing happened.

Posted: 4/22/07 at 9:06pmI once had a crush on what I thought was a boy. In my defense, I was 9 and she was a tomboy. It was during summer camp. I lusted after this girl-I-thought-was-a-pretty-boy something fierce. Then I saw her at the pool... in a floral one-piece swimsuit. That kinda killed the fantasy.

I just wanted to say that I bought myself a Liza Minnelli CD (woohoo) the other day, and one of the songs on there is "Liza With A Z" and it reminded me of D2's signature.
Now, to answer the question...
I had somewhat of a crush on one of the actors I worked with over the summer. Although it was more of a "He's so cute I wish he was straight" sort of thing.
He did give me a kiss on the cheek, though... and that was nice.
The two other times I remember having a crush on a fellow actor were The Music Man and West Side Story. I never told him how I felt (because my confidence level is sh*t when it comes to asking people out or telling them my adoration for them). However, when the choir held a swing dance, he was so excited to see me, and we danced together.
And one last note -
My mother thought I had a crush on our Emcee, because I'd tell her about the show every night during its two week run. I didn't really fancy him in that way, but I'll admit he was brilliant in the part.
