Did I hear the President compare the "Left" to the Viet Cong?

I could only listen to the angry chimp for a minute before my blood pressure rose but I THOUGHT I heard him say something about McCain surviving being tortured by the Viet Cong, he could survive the bias of the "Angry Left" but when I woke up this morning there was no outraged call for his resignation so maybe I misheard it. Anyone else?

Why look at that. It took me a lot of Googling but there it is. Why is no one outraged?

Thanks, Joe. Whenever he speaks I just hear, "blah, blah, blah". It takes every ounce of energy I have to pay attention to him.

Also, I don't think it did any one any favors by him appearing live via satellite. His appearance didn't seem to register any type of impact (IMO).

That being said, GMA did not spend too much time of their broadcast today on the convention. Maybe the first fifteen minutes. The proceedings started off with a very indignant Rudy Guiliani.
