Hey everyone. So, I am now the vice president of my colleges Musical Theatre Organization, which I'm really excited about. The president and I have been brainstorming all summer on how to turn the whole group around, and are planning on doing a revue this fall, and a large scale musical in the spring. He's show interest in conducting the orchestra, and I'm really interested in directing the show.

Now, i've only directed some small plays, but have been in many musicals and some operas. I know that I'll be able to handle it, I was just wondering if anyone else has had experience directing (especially going from acting on the stage to being the person who puts it all together). What was your experience like, and do you have any tips?

I went from 7 years of acting professionally to directing. It was tough at first because since I started directing with a company I had worked with for years they had to learn to separate their friend from the person who was now in charge.
If you have any questions ask them.

David walked into the valley With a stone clutched in his hand He was only a boy But he knew someone must take a stand There will always be a valley Always mountains one must scale There will always be perilous waters Which someone must sail -Into the Fire Scarlet Pimpernel
