Disney World - All Star Music - Broadway
Disney World - All Star Music - Broadway#1
Posted: 4/14/07 at 9:26pmCaitie and I just booked our stay at Disney for August (yay!). We decided since we met on here to go for the Broadway building in All Star Music - anyone stay there ever? We need to do the trip a little on the cheaper side anyway, so that worked out for us (we got 8 days, 7 nights, flights, hotel, passes, and all dining included for under a thousand each). We need to call back to remember to request non-smoking rooms, but just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for anything else we should ask if they've stayed in that particular hotel...

Posted: 4/15/07 at 12:07amI stayed there about 5 years ago. It was very nice, nothing fancy, but clean and not too small. The best part was being able to take the shuttle to all the parks. We didn't move our car the entire week we were there.

Posted: 4/15/07 at 12:34amThe broadway section is so cool. It has huge posters of Beauty and the Beast OBC and is in the style of an actual street so it looks like you really are staying on Broadway. There's a taxi and street lights, too. Probably the coolest thing though is the "Stage Door" sign that is on top of the facade of the staircases. It looks great during the day, but at night there is a night that shines onto it and it looks amazing. So inspiring. Check out the other areas too. And if you can fit it in, look around the areas at the All Star Sports (right next door) and the All Star Movies (a little farther down the road). Some of the best photo opps, IMO, are at these hotels. Plus the Pop Century resort.

Posted: 4/15/07 at 3:03pmWe're going the end of Aug. - same time I went last year. Yeah, it was hot, but surprisingly not THAT crowded - it was WAY worse when I went in December a couple of years before that!

Posted: 4/15/07 at 3:19pmI stayed there! Not at the Broadway though...it was the Calypso and the rooms are really nice for the price. We have a family of 6, and we only had one room....my parents took the room with a real bed, my two younger brothers slept on the couch (which pulled out into a bed), I slept on the chair which also turned into a bed, and my other brother slept on the footrest thing which once again turned into a bed. There was 2 bathrooms, and a little kitchen. So, yeah. It's pretty nice. Have fun!
