I'm writing my thesis on the marketing of this movie, and I guess I'll have A LOT to write about!

This trailer is obviously geared towards males and marketed as a comedy-adventure, with lots of slapstick. Lets see if it works! I have a feeling a second trailer will come out in September/October and will emphasize the romantic and emotional aspects of the story. I think the actual film will have plenty of heart.

I believe the hook is that her hair is actually alive or something.

And I have to ask: where was the Menken music?

I just found the desperation in attracting ONLY little boys off putting. There was nothing in this trailer for girls or even traditional Disney fans. Every few seconds a tag line appearing like "He's fearless" "He's this.." "He's that..." yada yada. And then you get a couple quick cut aways of the film's original title character. There was no balance. Without the Disney logo at the start I would have thought this was just another "Hoodwinked" or "Happily Never After" type film.

Check out the Dutch trailer. Now, this is a trailer that could appeal to both males and females.
