Disney is trying to hammer out a deal to buy the Pixar animation studio for about $7 billion. I just hope that this loss of company independence won't mean a loss of artistic independence for that incredible company. At least it's worked beautifully with Disney so far.
Anyway, this gives both companies what they want- Disney gets good animation in-house again, and Pixar gets Disney's distribution and marketing power. And they'll share the rights they fought over in the first place, since...well, now they'll be the same company.
