Has anyone here ever done disney world live entertainment. I am auditioning in a few weeks...and i wanted to get some info on it before i did anything.
Disney World is a major pain. Firstly, they don't do ANY contracts for less than 8-10 months.
Also, rather than most other equity contracts (which pay weekly) they pay by the hour: Approx. $12.50 /hr for 9 hour days; However, they only work you 5 days a week, rather than 6, so basically you're receiving an off-b'way paycheck size. If you stay with them for more than 1 year they're obligated to give you a 3% increase on your salary and a contract completion bonus usually somewhere in the area of $1,000. Sick leave is also negotiated hourly, it's usually something around 10 hours leave per every 500 hours worked and 8 hours of vaction time for every 100 worked.
All their auditions tend to be cattle call unless you have an equity card, expect to be waiting for 5-10 hours before they'll see you.
I was offered a contract by them once but couldn't do it since I couldn't commit to the 10 months they wanted.
