Hi all!

I'm currently working on a project that involves creating a musical theater class that emphasises diversity in the musical world -- college level. In short, I'm looking for a text book that might help facillitate this topic. I found the one below but thought I'd come to the pros of musical theater before trying one out. Any suggestions or comments on this book?

Our Musicals, Ourselves: A Social History of the American Musical Theater:

i have that book. i love it. whenever i get into a new show, i read what the author has written about it and it puts it into socio-cultural/historical perspective. it's great, and a pretty interesting read.
