If you do moo in French, you have to get the accent right, or they get very pissy and treat you like a tourist.

So I shouldn't start a protest in the Parisian street, with a really bad metaphor involving cows, the moon, and meu-ing. I never did advance to the third installment of those oh so fun French books, bleu!…rogue, blanc, et bleu! I believe there was a section regarding rural animals and their preferred ways of communicating in the latter part of rogue or was it blanc? And indeed, cows do not "MOO" according to the "Discovering French" textbook!

This reminds me of something I was reading about recently...It was about how in different countries, they have totally different ideas of what sounds roosters make. It's an interesting topic.
